iPhone app awards experience, loot for real-life chores

Having trouble getting motivated enough to wash the car, do the dishes, or hit the gym? Love traversing Azeroth, or leveling up your farm? There’s an app for that. Visual designer Rexbox (LittleBigPlanet, Grip Wrench) and application developer MrFungFung (MiniSquadron) are currently collaborating on an iPhone app EpicWin. The soon-to-be-released app will be a cross between a to-do list and a role-playing game; users can jot down their list of chores to be completed right inside the app. Once a chore is completed, the player checks it off the list, and his/her character will gain experience, level up, advance on the quest map, and even find virtual loot to use in the game. The psychology behind the app is, if players are immediately awarded for doing chores, they’ll complete more chores. Sounds good enough to me!

It is unknown if EpicWin will be available on devices other than the iPhone, and the app does not yet have set release date.
