Nokia announced on Monday the release date and price of their new smartphone, the N8. Customers can pre-order the phone, which is expected to launch in late September, from the Nokia website for $549. Unlike previous Nokia releases, however, the pre-ordered device does not include any incentives or gifts, such as Bluetooth headsets or free shipping. The phone will be the first to run Nokia’s Symbian^3 OS, and is the first phone in the US to feature a 12-megapixel camera. The N8 also boasts a multi-touch-capable, capacitive touchscreen, an HDMI port, a 720p video camera, and multiple home screens.
