Is TV being phased out? Blame it on the Internet!

Nothing stays the same forever, especially in this digital age, and change is good, but that’s my personal opinion.

Betamax/VHS tape, cassette tape, floppy disk, Sony’s DV, and analog TV service. Please feel free to add any other honorable mentions as comments.

Free and Legal TV and Movies

and a few others have their ways! Internet, its popularity already surpassed so many other media is pushing forward again. Free content and now a $9.99 subscription in beta testing phase.

TV stations must feel what many news magazines and newspapers had felt when users switched on Internet and left them, the more traditional methods of bringing the masses news. I have a HDTV antenna on top of my roof just for the local channels, it’s free and enough for me. I get everything else on and from the Internet…

And yes, I am going to have my first ever iPhone in a few more days, which is also my first true entertainment smartphone. See you EDGE and welcome 3G!
